The Word Magazine Collection

The Word magazine is a Brussels-based, bi-annual lifestyle, photography and art magazine. The photographs display the first 25 editions in the original A4 format, divided in volumes chronologically representing 5 years of publishing and evolution of the magazine. The images concentrate on objectifying the content and the amount of paper used to communicate it. The project has been developed before the re-launching of the magazine as it currently exists and aims to archive the work and path of The Word.

In September 2018, The Word celebrated 10 years of acivity and the following year decided to stop publishing the printed magazine, keeping only its online channels and a broadcast 24/7 from www.theword.radio.
